I cannot believe ur gone i remember when u was prosecuter for special victims unit and when my son is five years Old an incident happened to him. I remember a school trip we went to see the karate kid movie. On the way back home Monica tried to do the thing where Mr. Miyagi rubbed his hands together real fast to heal Daniel and ended up poking me in the eye. We laughed so hard. I never forgot that lol. She had a beautiful smile and spirit. She will forever be missed. Rest in paradise Monica.

I also work in a Prosecutor’s Office and let me tell you that when we loose one of our own, whether we work in the same office or not, it is a loss that is deeply felt. Q: How would you describe Detective Sergeant Monica to someone who had never met them?
A: Monica was a very down to earth person! She was good hearted and was all about doing the right things in life. She was the type of person, who perfected her craft. Very skilled, smart, loving and funny. She enjoyed joking around and making others laugh. But, most importantly She loved and valued family, friendships and the community! A true inspiration and role model to many. She was my childhood friend/Sis! Since we were the age of 10. We went thru all the stages of life together. From Graduating High School, Parenting and Grand Parenting! I am gonna miss her laugh, her smile and her James Brown jokes! Truly a beautiful Soul! Fly High, Sis! Q: What was one of your favorite qualities of Detective Sergeant Monica?
A: I knew Monica from Sisters hair salon. My favorite thing about her was her beautiful smile and personality. The shop was the hub for many. After it closed, I would see her out and about and we would catch up a bit. She always had that smile. And she Loved her girls & grands. She was an absolutely beautiful soul and I pray that as her family reads all of the memories, they know how special she really was and how many lives she touched.
