Born on March 28, 1962 in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late Marlena Fentress (Redic) and David Fentress, Sr. Her Aunt, Martha Pratt took on the role of her mother and was instrumental in raising her. She attended Bridgeton High School, Gloucester County College and Neumann University, where she earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree as a Registered Nurse. Sharlena was faithful and dedicated to her work and was employed by the University Of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia as a Clinical Research Nurse and Underwood Memorial Hospital in Woodbury as a Registered Nurse. During her career as a nurse, Sharlena was previously employed by the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp., Cigna, Reliance Insurance, Bayada Nurses and Preferred Home Care. Sharlena had a flair for decorating and managed to incorporate her love of frogs tastefully into the décor. She also enjoyed concerts, plays, dining and traveling with her husband, Gary. She also cherished and enjoyed the times spent with her grandchildren. Sharlena will be lovingly remembered for her dedication, loyalty and beautiful smile, but most of all her courageous enduring strength while dealing with her illness. She was a true and loving friend to all who knew her. Sharlena leaves to cherish her memory; her loving and devoted husband of 9 years, Gary Fuller, who lovingly referred to her as his "Shero"; her daughter, LeTeesha Fentress of Washington Twp., who kept constant vigil by her side; Afrika and Sekela both of Bridgeton and one son, Gary T.
