Obituary of Ernestine Burrus

Ernestine Burrus, 58, of Upper Deerfield Twp. passed away on Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at her home under the care of hospice and her family. She was born in Belhaven, NC and was the daughter of the late Ruby Dale Burrus. She had been a Upper Deerfield Twp. resident most of her life. She had worked as a CNA for Bishop McCarthy Center for over 20 years, prior to that she had worked at Johnson's Farms. Ernestine had attended church at the Church of Deliverance in Pittsgrove Twp. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her daughter, shopping, listening to gospel music, going to church, and reading her bible. She really loved fashion and enjoyed collecting purses. Ernestine was known for her excellent cooking, especially her spaghetti and lasagna. She is survived by; her daughter, Bridget Burrus of Upper Deerfield Twp.; her brother, Darrell B. Burrus (JaToya) of Sicklerville; her nephews, Darrell J. Burrus, Deven Burrus, Patrina Lawson, and LaShawn Burrus; and a host of extended family. She was preceded in death by; her mother, Ruby Dale Burrus; and her son, Desmond Burrus. Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
