Dear Family of Douglas VanMeter,
It is a sad time when we have to deal with the loss of our dear family members. Please accept my condolences and you can be assured that our loving Heavenly Father is concerned about the pain that you are feeling. He has promised to help us during times such as these. Psalms 34:18 reads: “Jehovah is near to those that are broken hearted”
May the special times that you have had with your loved one stay close to your heart.
Sincerely
Mrs. Sandi Watkins

Doug and his wife Lisa were a great comfort for my husband and I as my husband battled through cancer himself. They are truly some of the strongest people I have ever met!

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. VanMeter recently and just wanted to express my condolences to his wife and family. I also wanted to share some words of encouragement in this hard time. A bible text that always gives me encouragement is Revelation 21:3,4. I love this text because it mentions that there a couple things that god will get rid of in the near future, the main one being death. Is states death will be no more and that it will be a thing of the past. It also states that god will wipe out every tear from our eyes so no more suffering. And in Acts 24:15 it gives us hope that god will bring back to life our loved ones that have passed away which gives all of you something to look forward to.I hope these words serve of some help. I have also found more on how to deal with grief all based on the Bible in www.jw.org and more uplifting information which I’m sure you would find great comfort in reading. I wish your family the best in this difficult time.
