Obituary of Mary Flowers

Mary Flowers, age 101, of Hopewell Township passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Cumberland Manor.

The daughter of the late Joseph Ratliff and Nannie Bell Ramsey Ratliff, she was born in Pee Dee, North Carolina and was the wife of the late Fleming Flowers.  She had lived in the Bridgeton area since 1951 and prior to that resided in Swedesboro, Virginia and North Carolina.

Before her retirement, Mary had been employed with the Neo Systems Laundry in Vineland for 17 years and previous to that laundry services in Woodbury and Alexandria, VA. 

She was a dedicated member of the Bridgeton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses where she had been a Pioneer Servant since 1960. 

She is survived by a son Beverley Lindsey of Vineland and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a son, Fletcher Bennett; four brothers, Albert, Theodore, Frank and Joe Henry Ratliff and two sisters, Minnie Bennett and Hazel Diggs.

A visitation will be held on Friday, January 11th from 9 to 11 AM at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township followed by Memorial Services at the Bridgeton Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 691 Irving Avenue, Bridgeton at 11:30.AM.  Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township.  Written condolences can be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com
