Forever in my memory Aunt Mary. I will always cherish the memories of you, my mom and grand mom serving Jehovah and the countless times my mom came to spend time with you whether rain, sleet, snow or hail. You always told her "I love you Peggie because you are just like the mailman, nothing can stop you from coming to see me"!
I remember back in the day when we would make that trip and you and Uncle Fleming would let us run and play so freely outside on your property! Then we would have a great meal (and loved those pies). Then we would be so tired that we slept all the way back home; whether it was in New Jersey or North Carolina.
You will be forever missed great matriarch of the family!

An inspiration for decades of witnesses, truly a faithful servant of Jehovah. Remembering her love of teaching all who would listen.

To our Aunt Mary a wonderful person, and the last of the Ratliff Klan, at 101. Faithful servant of the only true God Jehovah. Who was always ready and willing to share the truth of God's word with others. She would pick you up for the meetings or she was making a nice dinner and as everyone knew about her delicious sweet potatoe pies!! You better not go in her house touching her dolls and things Lol!! Uncle Flemming, my brother Beverly Lindsey, and my cousin June Bug Fletcher Bennett her closest family. She always expressed to me that Jehovah "was her God, and that he takes good care of me." She always spoke of home and getting back in enough time to make uncle Flemming his dinner. She made it to 101 looking 51, as she soley relied on Jehovah for all her needs.
I told Aunt Mary once, when I grow up I want to be just like you. She looked up at me from her wheelchair and said "Looks like you growed up to me already!! Girl you got fat didn't you? I chuckled and so did she.
She always let you know she was Joe Ratliff's daughter, and you better believe it!!
Aunt Mary was faithful to her God Jehovah. Her legacy is she loves Jehovah "And you better believe it." How many of us can remember the many Tuesday nite book studies at her house? Or going out in field service? Or how her little basement kept a many of us warm and secure taking in the knowledge of Jehovah. Or all the family pictures Aunt Mary kept in that little hallway in the back. How about her little cozy sitting room in the back with the heater, and all the family pictures in her little hutch of Anthony, Carmen, Deryl, Ann, Jan, Peaches, Houseman, Miranda, Andy, Tom, Patty, with all our childrens' baby pictures we had given to her. Nobody has ever seen her bed unmade, ever. Lol!! The many dinners she prepared for repasses, theocratic training school in Turnersville, and pioneer meetings. Making sure the circuit overseers and their wives were fine. Making sure you got a ride to the meetings or out in field service. Or just entertaining friends and family.
For this we will be eternally grateful. And for her fine record of faithfulness to Jehovah to be unmatched 69 years and a
fulltime pioneer since 1968. Her favorite quote to the young, "Do what you know is right in Jehovah's eyes."
Aunt Mary was loved by many but will be missed by all.
Her favorite color was blue!!
See you in Paradise Aunt Mary!
Lovingly submitted by her Family. Love Alice
