Bertha J. Anderson, 77, of Bridgeton died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Inspira Health System-Elmer. Born in Bridgeton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley Weiss and Lena Dresh Weiss and the wife of the late Harold Robert “Bob” Anderson, Sr. She had been a Bridgeton resident for 33 years and had lived in Hopewell Township prior to that. Before her retirement, Bertha had been employed as comptroller with Quality Lincoln-Mercury in Millville and had also previously worked for Richards Motors and Carter Ford-Lincoln-Mercury in Bridgeton. She was a founding member of the “Girls of 57” group. Bertha is survived by her two sons, Harold R. “Bob” Anderson, Jr., his wife Deborah of Stow Creek Twp. and children, Harold, III and Alyssa and Brian C. Anderson, Sr. and his wife Kimberly of Shiloh and children, Kristin, Brian, Jr., Kristopher and Kami; three brothers, Harry S. Weiss of TX, Stanley Weiss of Millville and Phillip Weiss of Bridgeton and her sister, Lisa Weiss of Hopewell Twp. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, March 21st at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6 to 8 PM and on Monday morning from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Centre Grove Methodist Cemetery in Lawrence Twp. Written condolences may be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com.
