Obituary of Edward W. Gressman, Jr.

Edward W. Gressman, Jr., 68, of Deerfield Twp. died Monday, March 7, 2016 at his home under the care of Hospice. The son of the late Edward W. Gressman and Sadie McDowell Gressman, he was the husband of Linda Rice Gressman and had resided in Rosenhayn for the past 25 years. Before Deerfield Twp. he had lived in Hopewell Twp. A Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, Ed served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. Before his retirement, he had been employed as maintenance supervisor with the Silverton Yacht Company in Millville for 27 years. Previous to that he worked at the Owens-Illinois Glass Company in Bridgeton and Wheaton Glass Company in Millville. He was a member of VFW Meade-Woodward Post 1795 and American Legion Shoemaker Post 95 both in Bridgeton. An avid traveler, Ed enjoyed Old Cars and their restoration. In addition to his wife Linda, he is survived by his son Edward W. Gressman, III and his wife Mary of Vineland; a step-daughter, Mindy Stell of Pittsgrove; a brother, Wayne Gressman (Donna) of Millville; a sister, Suzanne Olha (John) of Millville and three grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Earl R. Gressman and a brother, Carl H. Gressman. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, March 14th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Twp.
