Elva S. Morris, 89, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, at Flagler Hospital with her family by her side. She was born in Millsboro, Deleware, and moved to New Jersey at the age of 5, where she graduated from Bridgeton High School in the class of 1944. Later, Elva attended Glassboro State College, where she graduated with her BA in education. She loved entertaining for celebrations and dinner parties; her home was always open to family and friends. She loved her church family at Good News Church, where she was a longtime member. Above all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend; she will be missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, John Morris of St. Augustine; daughters, Jill Fisler and Jane Chambers, both of Millville, New Jersey; brother, Norman Street of San Diego; brother in-law, Robert Morris of Cedarville, New Jersey; grandchildren, Hilary Fisler-Martin, Robert Chambers and Kelsey Chambers; great-grandchild, Piper Martin, and several friends in St. Augustine and New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Martha Street. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 29, 2016, at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville, New Jersey, with Pastor Gerritt Kenyon officiating; all are welcome to attend. A memorial service will be held at Good News Church in St. Augustine at a later date. St. Johns Family Funeral Home and Padgett Funeral Home are in charge of arrangements
