Dortheria A. Dale, 74, of Pennsville died on Monday, February 22, 2016 at her home. Born in Cedarville to the late Harry Anderson and Mary Houc, she was the wife of the late John Wittington. Dortheria was raised in the Port Norris and Dividing Creek area and had lived in Pennsville for the past 2 years. She had been a Millville resident most of her life. Prior to an injury, she had been employed as a caregiver at Cape May Care center for over five years. Before that she had worked at several seafood companies in the Port Norris area as an oyster shucker for over 15 years. Dortheria was a member of Word of Grace Church in Bridgeton where she served as an Usher. She always attended church diligently. In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family and her special dog, Bandit. She is survived by two daughters, Benita Forrest and a special son-in-law Madison Gullett of Pennsville and Diane Benjamin and her husband, Barto of Clementon; a sister, Linda Poole of Bridgeton; 11 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other family members. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Emanuel Jones and two sisters, Betty Colson and Lucille Houc. Funeral services will be held at the Remnant Kingdom Worship Center, 111 N. Laurel Street, Bridgeton on Tuesday, March 1st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Haleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
