G. Travers Cossaboon, 72, of Upper Deerfield Twp. died unexpectedly on Monday, January 4, 2016 at the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia.
The husband of Leanor DiPace Cossaboon, he was born in Philadelphia and was the son of the late Howard Cossaboon and Laura Sloyer Cossaboon. An Upper Deerfield Twp. resident since 1987, he had previously lived in Brick, NJ and Schenectady, NY.
Travers had served as a Regional Manager for the Sherwin-Williams Paint Company in Philadelphia for 20 years. After that he had been involved with land development and home construction and also as an entrepreneur developing his own small businesses. He enjoyed his family and had a great interest in cars.
In addition to his wife Leanor, he is survived by his son, Gregory B. Cossaboon of Monroeville; his daughter, Melissa L. Venable and her husband Paul of Suffolk, VA; his three grandchildren, Samuel, Maxwell and Macie Lynn Venable; a brother, David Cossaboon of Pittsgrove and two sisters, Norma Cossaboon of Pittsgrove and Laura Hanaoka of FL. He was predeceased by a brother, H. Richard Cossaboon.
Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, January 8th at 3 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 2 to 3 PM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Travers’ memory be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. BOX 758517, Topeka, KS 66675.
