I am sorry to hear about Ed, but feel fortunate to have at least met him once over the years before he died. He was my birth father. As an adult with two of my own children and living in Baltimore, I was not looking for a father because I had one. But after learning about Ed in 2003 from my birth mother, I was lucky that he showed me kindness and compassion from the first phone call when I told him what I had learned.
