David L. Rodgers, 62, of Millville died unexpectedly on Friday, December 25, 2015 at the Emergency Room at Inspira Regional Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton, he was the son of the late Louis Rodgers and Josephine Welch Rodgers and the husband of Gloria Pierce Rodgers. A Millville resident for 28 years, he had previously lived in Carmel. Before his retirement, David had been employed as a Custodian with the Millville Board of Education for 25 years at the Holly Heights and Rieck Ave. Schools. He enjoyed antique and classic cars and was a member of the former Garden State 50’s Auto Club. He was also an avid Dallas Cowboys Fan. In addition to his wife, Gloria, he is survived by his daughter, Amber S. Rodgers and adopted daughter, Donna Ann Rollins both of Millville; four brothers, Daniel Rodgers of Millville, James Rodgers of Bridgeton and Michael and Timothy Rodgers both of Carmel and two sisters, Lori Robinson of Vineland and Janice Shaffer of Hopewell Twp. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, December 30th at 2 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 to 2 PM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp.
