Obituary of George E. Hudnall

George E. Hudnall, Sr. 79, of Elkwood, VA formerly of Fairfield Twp., died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his home. Born in Lumber Port, West Virginia to the late Ira W. Hudnall and Jessie J. Gravley Hudnall, he was the husband of the late Barbara Allgrove and the long-time companion of Patricia Blakenship. George had been a resident of Fairfield Twp. from 1993 until moving to Virginia to live with his son, George, Jr. Prior to that he had lived in Stow Creek Twp. Before his retirement, George had been employed by Anchor Hocking Glass for 2 years and Owens-Illinois Glass for 17 years. He was a former member of the Bridgeton Elks Lodge #733, Order of Moose, the Meade-Woodward Post and the VFW-Shoemaker Post 95 in Bridgeton. He also volunteered with the Bridgeton Department of Recreation in Midget Football, Alden Field and Babe Ruth Baseball. He had also been an announcer for many of the games. He is survived by; three daughters, Jeanne Hudnall of Yuma, AZ, Penny Dzierwinski and her husband Jim of Vineland and Tanya Hudnall; four sons, George E. Hudnall, Jr and his wife Becky of Elkwood, VA, John Hudnall of Atlantic City, Arthur Hudnall of Vineland and Charlie Hudnall of Williamstown; his longtime companion, Patricia Blankenship of Bridgeton and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, Barbara, he was preceded in death by; a sister, Ruth DeKnight and a brother, Charles Hudnall. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, October 31st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.
