Obituary of Robert Lee Waller

Robert Lee Waller, 83, of Hopewell Twp. died Friday, October 16, 2015 at home under the care of Hospice. The son of the late Luther P. Waller and Madeline Lane Waller, he was born in Carney’s Point and was the husband of Shirley Jean Stillwagen Waller. He had been a Hopewell Twp. resident since 1956 and prior to that had lived in Bridgeton. Before his retirement, Mr. Waller had been employed as a brakeman with the Central Railroad of New Jersey and CONRAIL in Philadelphia for 37 years. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and served his country in the United States Navy from 1951-1955. In addition to his wife Shirley, he is survived by four daughters, Vickie Waller-Harris of Vineland, Joy Waller-Carter of Hopewell Twp., Dawn Waller-Borgese of Hopewell Twp. and Beth Miller-Schofield of Greenwich along with three brothers, three sisters, 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by two brothers and one sister and his stepmother, Mabel Waller. Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
