Thecla Colson, 77, of Vineland died on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp.
Thecla was born in St. Lucia, West Indies to the late Carmen Girard. In the 1970’s, she immigrated to Brooklyn, NY where she lived for over 20 years. She then moved to Georgia where she resided for about 10 years until moving to her daughter Brenda’s home in Vineland.
Before to her retirement, Thecla had worked as a home healthcare aide for many years. In her free time she enjoyed visiting with friends and family, shopping and watching her favorite TV show JAG.
Surviving are her children, Kenmore Girard of Barbados, Ralph Girard of Canada, Brenda Girard of Vineland, Nympher Girard of FL and Edward Colson, Jr. of Newark; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
