Obituary of Vincent Aponte

Vincent Aponte, 82, of Millville died on Saturday, July 4, 2015 at his home under the care of Hospice. Born in Aguas Buenas, Puerto Rico to the late Evaristo Aponte and Juana Cruz Aponte, he was the husband of Clementine Holland Aponte. Vincent had been a Millville resident for the past 13 years and prior to that had lived in Port Norris. Before his retirement, Vincent had worked in the seafood industry for most of his life. He had been employed with the Peterson Packing Co. and Riggins and Robbins Seafood Co. both in Port Norris and Gorton Seafood in Millville. In his free time, he enjoyed playing cards and horse racing. In addition to his wife Clementine, he is survived by eight children, Steven Holland of Millville, Denise Holland of Millville, Angela Brown of Newfield, Darlene Holland of Millville, Josephine Bowleg of Bridgeton, D’Wana Holland of Millville, Ryan Broughton of Egg Harbor Twp. and Kinglee Dunlap of Mays Landing; 30 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four children, Lorraine Maddox, Vincent Maddox, Carmen Williams and Minerva Aponte. Funeral services will be held at Faith Tabernacle, 1665 North Ave. Port Norris on Monday, July 13th at 1 PM. Interment will take place at Halleyville Methodist Cemetery in Commercial Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 12 Noon to 1 PM prior to the services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
