Obituary of Peter Campagna

Peter Campagna, 89, of Vineland and formerly of Upper Deerfield Twp., died on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the NJ Veterans Memorial Home in Vineland. Born in Bridgeton to the late Francesco Campagna and Antonia Bertini Campagna, he was the husband of the late Margaret "Peggy" Lutz Campagna. Prior to his retirement in 1989, Pete had been the owner and operator of Pete’s Automotive in Upper Deerfield since 1959. He was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross-Immaculate Conception Church in Bridgeton and was an avid golfer and bowler. He is survived by his caregiver and niece, Marie Campagna and her husband Frank of Deerfield Twp. and several nieces and nephews. Besides his wife Margaret, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Campagna and his wife Josephine and John Campani and his wife Patty and four sisters, Jennie Spear and her husband Gilbert, Mary Campagna, Viola Giammona and her husband Joe and Rose Cobb and her husband John. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 3rd at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM prior to the services.
