Obituary of Dominick J. Miletta

Dominick Miletta, Jr., 84 of Bridgeton died on Monday, May 18, 2015 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Cedarville to the late Dominick Miletta, Sr. and Carmela Lombardo Miletta, he was the husband of the late Anna Mae Hamby Miletta. Dominick moved to Bridgeton in the 1950’s where he lived for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, Dominick had been a Truck Driver for 7-Up in Bridgeton. In his early years, he worked as a farm hand on the family farm. He had also been employed as a truck driver for Ranier’s Dairy, a Police Officer with the Bridgeton Police Department and as a mechanic for Scribner and Lewis in Bridgeton. He was a volunteer fire fighter at the former Mary Elmer Lake Station. Dominick was also a member of the Italian American Civic Club in Bridgeton. Dominick had been a veteran of the United States Army serving in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. He is survived by; seven children, Dominick Miletta, III of Pittsgrove Twp., Diane Miletta of Bridgeton, Michael Miletta of Upper Deerfield Twp., Charla Romer of Egg Harbor Twp., Jim Miletta of Augusta, West Virginia, Sandy Baechle of Marlton and Bruno Miletta of Bridgeton; a sister, Carmela “Tootsie” Digue of Bridgeton; a brother, Dave Miletta of Mauricetown; 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Besides his wife Anna Mae who passed away in 2004, Dominick was preceded in death by a sister, Rose Manupello. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, May 22nd at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening, May 21st at the funeral home from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Friday morning, May 22nd from 9 to 10 AM at the funeral home, prior to the services.
