Obituary of Armilde Green

Armilde "Milde" Green, 87, Upper Deerfield Twp. died on Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Salme, Estonia to the late Peeter Klepp and Triin Usin Klepp, she was the wife of the late Ellsworth “Bob” Green, Jr. Milde had lived in Upper Deerfield since 1959 and prior to that she had resided in Bridgeton. Before coming to Seabrook in 1949, she had survived the Soviet and Nazi invasions of her homeland, Estonia. She then spent four years in various DP (Displaced Persons') Camps in Germany before emigrating to United States. Milde worked for Seabrook Farms Co. while continuing her education by attending night school. Prior to her retirement, she had worked for Wheaton Glass Co. in the accounting department for over 35 years and was an active member of the Bridgeton First Church of the Nazarene. Milde was a candle of God’s love, demonstrating compassion and caring for everyone she met. She is survived by a sister, Maie Raudsepp of Kansas City; a brother, Harry Klepp of Pleasant Valley, NY; a step-son, Ellsworth “Jimmy” Green, III of Stow Creek Twp.; a daughter, Sandra Rice of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two granddaughters: Jamie Green and Destinee Rice and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Bob who passed in 2010, she was preceded in death by a cousin, Emmi Bajars of Towaco, NJ and a step-son, Gary Green. Funeral services will be held at the Bridgeton Church of the Nazarene, 350 West Park Dr., Bridgeton, NJ on Saturday, April 11th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Laurel Lawn Cemetery in Upper Deerfield Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made in Armilde Green’s memory to The Bridgeton Church of the Nazarene, 350 West Park Dr., Bridgeton, NJ. 08302.
