James A. Molette, 94, of Cedarville died on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Toms Creek, VA to the late Frank Molette and Theresa Lamanteer Molette, he was the husband of the late Theresa Fusco Molette. He had been a resident of Cedarville for most of his life. Mr. Molette had owned and operated Molette’s Quality Market in Cedarville for many years until his retirement in 1980. A veteran of World War Two, he had served his country in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater and was a survivor of the sinking of the USS Princeton. He had been active in several senior citizens groups on the county level and was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross-St. Michael’s Church in Cedarville. Surviving are his four children, Joanne Kolarik and her husband Joe of Emmaus, PA, Mary Bertaux and her husband Alan of Bethany Beach, DE, Rufus Molette and his wife Marian of Millville and Angel Molette of Egg Harbor Twp.; a daughter in law, Nancy Molette of Millville; two sisters, Connie Barlam of Cedarville and Betty Bassetti of Vineland; a brother, John Miletta of Centerton; two sisters in law, Margaret Miletta of Cedarville and Loretta Galati of DE; a brother in law, John Notaro of Tuckerton, 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, James Molette, Jr. and seven siblings, Vito Galati, Minnie Notaro, Rosie Bonham, Bruno Miletta, Tony Miletta, Joe Miletta and Susie Gallaher. His Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at The Parish of the Holy Cross-St. Michael’s Church, 367 Main Street, Cedarville on Wednesday, April 1st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Holy Cross Cemetery in Millville. Friends will be received at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Tuesday evening from 6 to 8 PM. The family asks that contributions in Mr. Molette’s memory be made to your local V.F.W.
