Obituary of Alice M. Jacobs

Alice M. Jacobs, 69, of Vineland died on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at South Jersey Extended Care in Bridgeton. Born in Salem to Mable Brown Taylor of Bridgeton and the late Elwood Taylor, she was the wife of Jesse Jacobs. Alice had been a resident of Vineland for the past six years and prior to that she had lived in Bridgeton. Before her retirement, she had been employed at the Vineland Developmental Center. Besides her husband and her mother, she is survived by her five children, Jesse Jacobs of Philadelphia, PA, Pamela Jacobs of Wilmington, DE, Tammy Jacobs of Wilmington, DE, Pearl Jacobs of Fresno, TX and Michael Maddox of Vineland; a sister, Melinda Knight of Upper Deerfield Twp.; a brother, Isaac Taylor of Fairfield Twp. and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood Taylor, Jr., William Taylor, and Matthew Taylor and a sister, Shirley Taylor. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, February 21st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
