Mary B. Armstead, age 56, of Bridgeton, died Friday, January 13, 2012, at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia. The wife of John Armstead, she was born in Camden on October 9, 1955 and was the daughter of Lorraine Cottman Bush of Millville and the late Donald P. Eldridge. She had been a Bridgeton resident for 30 years and prior to that had lived in Moorestown. Mary had formerly been employed with Venice Maid Foods in Vineland and also with the Vineland Developmental Center. Besides her husband mother, survivors include: one sister, Denise M. Crayne, Mt. Laurel; four brothers, Roger S. Eldridge, Stafford, VA, Leon Eldridge, Marlton, Kirkwood Eldridge, Owensboro, KY and Dennis M. Eldridge, Moorestown; a brother in law, Arthur Lee Armstead of Carmel and a sister in law, Cornellia Johnson of Medford. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald P. Eldridge, Jr. Funeral services will be held at Bethel A.M.E. Church, 520 North Church Street, Moorestown on Saturday, January 21st at 11 AM. Burial will be made at Wrightsville Cemetery, Cinnaminson. Friends will be received at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday afternoon, January 20th from 2 to 4 PM and on Saturday from 9 to 10:45 AM at the church prior to the services.
