Adam R. "Bobby" Elbertson, age 68, of Fairfield Township died unexpectedly at South Jersey Regional Medical on Wednesday, January 11, 2012. Born in Millville on November 19, 1943 to Emma Schwegel Elbertson Torpey of Port Norris and the late Norris Elbertson he was the husband of Linda Massie Elbertson. He had been a Fairfield Township resident for 11 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Bobby had previously been employed with the Minot Foods Company in Bridgeton and had been an officer with the Centurion Security Company also in Bridgeton. A member of the Norma Baptist Church, he had also served with the Seabrook Volunteer Fire Company # 2 for 13 years and with the NJ Fish and Wildlife Management Department as a volunteer for 6 years. In addition to his loving wife of 43 years, Linda and his mother, Emma, he is survived by a brother, William Elbertson (Jeannie) of Millville; three sisters, Barbara Burke of Millville, Bette Peachey (Jerry) of Port Norris and LouEtta Nicholas of Millville; mother and father in law, Rev. Wilburn and Macey Massie of Upper Deerfield Township; two brother in laws, Jerry Massie (Dale) of Millville and Will Massie of Concord, NC and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Bonnie Baker and a brother in law Otto Baker. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Thursday, January 19th at 2:00 PM. Interment will take place at Centerton Free Will Baptist Cemetery in Pittsgrove Township. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday from 1 to 2 PM prior to the services.
