Vernon F. Clark, 75, of Millville, died Monday, January 16, 2012, at South Jersey Regional Medical Center following a brief illness. He was born in Fairfield Township on August 5, 1936 and was the son of the late Vernon E. Clark and Rebecca Dunham Clark. He had been a resident of Millville for most of his life. Prior to his retirement, he had employed as a Union Projectionist with several area theaters, including the Landis Theater in Vineland, Levoy Theater in Millville and the Laurel Theater in Bridgeton. He had also been employed at Trump Plaza in Atlantic City. He was a commercial fisherman on the Delaware Bay in his early years and more recently was the unofficial doorman at Bims Pizzeria in Millville. An avid fisherman and waterman, Vernon was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons and the Shriners. He is survived by his close friends, Joseph and Debbie Pierce of Millville and several cousins and close friends. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Township, on Friday, January 20th at 12:00 noon. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday morning between 11:00 and 12:00. Cremation and inurnment will take place at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township.
