Renee Waters Ellis, age 43, a lifetime Bridgeton area resident went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 8th, 2012 at Cooper University Hospital in Camden following a lengthily illness. Born in Bridgeton on March 14, 1968, she was the daughter of the late James E. Planter and Theadise Waters and the wife of Victor L. Ellis. Renee had previously been employed at the Vineland Developmental Center. A loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend, she will be deeply missed by all those that knew and loved her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five daughters, Rochelle Ellis of Paulsboro, Patricia Ellis of Bridgeton, Tiffiney Ellis of Lindenwold, Jessica Ellis of Bridgeton and LaToya Ellis of Vineland; three brothers, Bruce Planter (Patricia) of VT, Jimmie Lee Planter of VA and Eddie Waters (Amy) of Bridgeton; four sisters, Rosemary Tull (Albert), Bernadine Townsend (James) and Brenda Planter all of VA and Shawn Planter-Gross (Lewis) of Bridgeton, her special companion, Kevin Lurry of Bridgeton, 12 grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends. Funeral services will be held at the Bridgeton Church of God, 81 Pamphylia Ave., Bridgeton, on Monday, January 16th at 12 Noon. Burial will take place at Cedar Hill Memorial Park in Hopewell Township. Friends will be received at the church on Monday from 11 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Township.
