Obituary of Billy C. Williams

Billy C. Williams, Sr., 77, of Stow Creek Twp. died Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Millie and Donald, where he was staying during his recent illness under the care of Hospice. Born in Newport, TN to the late Robert J. Williams and Edna Mae Gregg Williams, he was the husband of Mildred Emlet Williams. He had lived in Stow Creek Twp. for the past 42 years and prior to that had resided in Pennsville. Before to his retirement, Billy had been a mechanic with Glass Machine Inc. in Vineland, Venice Maid in Vineland and the General Motors Corporation in DE. He had also owned and operated the Williams Nursery in Stow Creek Twp. for 30 years. . Besides his wife Mildred, he is survived by his three children, Mildred Ann “Nam” McGowan and her husband Donald of Upper Deerfield Twp., Billy C. Williams, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Hopewell Twp. and Anthony “Tony” Williams and his wife Tonya of Elmer; a brother, James Williams of Stow Creek Twp.; three sisters, Ruth Moore of Salem, Sue Jenkins of Bridgeton and Peggy Fuerneisen of Quinton; seven grandchildren, Melissa “Missy”, Billy “Bud”, Donald Jr., Tonya, Shawna-Brooke’, Craig and Stacie’-Dawn and eight great-grandchildren, Gracie, Brent, Jason Jr., Cole, Cody, Aiden, Sydney and Tripp. He was preceded in death by five brothers, Jay, John, Oliver, Herb and Charles Williams; a sister, Dean Paulitis and a grandson, Jason Williams. Funeral Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wednesday, December 31st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday evening, December 30th from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Wednesday morning, December 31st from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
