Obituary of Jean F. Couch

Jean F. Couch, 88, of Hopewell Twp., died Thursday, November 20, 2014 at Cumberland Manor. The wife of the late Vernon L. Couch, she was born in Bridgeton and was the daughter of the late Olaf Nelson and Eva Zimmerman Nelson. She had been a Hopewell Twp. resident for 58 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Mrs. Couch had previously been employed with the Price Label Co. in Bridgeton and with the Bridgeton and Cedarville Co-Ops. A long time member of First Baptist Church in Bridgeton, she had served as Church Secretary and had been a member of the Board of Trustees along with being a member of the church choir. She is survived by her four sons, Vernon Couch of Bridgeton, Carl Couch of Hopewell Twp., Steven Couch of Upper Deerfield Twp. and Marlon Couch of Deerfield Twp. along with 10 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by four sisters, Agnes, Doris, Viola and Ida. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Wed., Nov. 26th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Overlook Cemetery in Bridgeton.
