Obituary of Victoria M. Donato

Victoria “Vickie” Donato, 94, of Bridgeton died Friday, November 7, 2014 at Inspira Regional Medical Center in Vineland. A lifetime resident of the Cedarville and Bridgeton areas, Mrs. Donato was born in Cedarville and was the daughter of the late Carmen Barlam and Beatrice Venerata Barlam. She was the wife of the late Bruno A. Donato who died in November of 2007. Mr. and Mrs. Donato had been married for 67 years. Mrs. Donato had previously been employed with the Theber Corp. in Bridgeton for 15 years prior to her retirement at the age of 62. She was a member of the Parish of the Holy Cross, St. Teresa of Avila Church in Bridgeton where she served in the Rosary Society. Surviving are her three sons, James Donato (Linda) of Talbott, TN, Louis Donato (Linda) of Belmont, CA and Richard Donato (Candy) of Bridgeton; a brother, Albert Barlam of Millville; three grandchildren, Eugene Donato, Sharon Lawson and Ryan Donato; five great-grandchildren, Holly, Bryan, Austin, Craig and Michael and three great-great-grandchildren, Branson, Serenity and Austin. She was predeceased by four sisters, Mary Ranieri, Nellie D’Annunzio, Florence Barlam and Sue Pipitone; nine brothers, Anthony, Dominick, Silvio, Ernest, Daniel, Joseph, Louis and Carmen Barlam and Charles Temporelli and also by her “grand-doggie”, Jodi D. Her Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated at the Parish of the Holy Cross, St. Teresa of Avila Church, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton on Thursday, Nov. 13th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bridgeton. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp. In lieu of flowers the family asks that contributions in Mrs. Donato’s memory be made to Parish of the Holy Cross, St. Teresa of Avila Church.
