Obituary of Beulah Mae Harris

Beulah Mae (Collins) Harris, age 87 of Millville, passed away peacefully to be with the Lord, on Sunday October 12, 2014.
She was born to the late Walter Collins and Robena (Burris) Collins on December 23, 1926 in Fairfield, NC.
Beulah attended Fairfield Public School System. She married the late Bishop Arthur L. Harris, November 1, 1950 and they lived together in Fairfield, NC before relocating to NJ. From this union, the three sons between them, Willie Collins Sr, George A and Earnest L. Harris, formed a new family.
She was a member of the Apostolic Independent Church of Christ in Bridgeton, NJ. Although Beulah battled in her body with illness, she never forgot to give God his Praise!
Beulah was a former employee of the Imperial 500 Motel in Wildwood, NJ, where she worked as a domestic worker until 1987. Beulah had a heart of gold, enormous personality and a wealth of selflessness. She opened her heart and home to take care of children of all ages in her community. Beulah provided love and care to many. Her kind words, good deeds and comforting demeanor will forever be missed.
Beulah leaves fond memories to be cherished by her three sons: Willie (Essie) Collins, of Vineland; George A Harris, of Millville; Earnest L. Harris, of Millville; and one sister Georgia Belle Cole, of Bridgeton. Besides her husband and parents, Beulah was predeceased by three brothers: Charlie E. Collins, Frank Collins, John Collins, three sisters Louise Deavon, Laura Ann Moore and Viola Burris. Nine grandchildren: Lois Collins-Bryant, Willie Collins Jr, Monica Collins, Heather Harris- Dian, Ernie Barber, Sherod Barber, Brianna Murphy, Kelly Pennington and Rashad Lindsey She also is survived by seven great-grandchildren and host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 20th at Fruit of the Spirit Ministries, 305 South Ave., Bridgeton, at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville. Friends will be received at the church from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
