Obituary of Wynfred C. Sibley

Wynfred C. Sibley, 74, of Morton, PA and formerly of Bridgeton died on Sunday, July, 6 2014 at the Taylor Hospice Residence in Ridley Park, PA. Born in Trenton to the late William H. Sibley and Winnie Cornatzer Sibley, he was the husband of Elizabeth Postell Sibley. He had resided in Morton for six months and prior to that had lived in Conowengo, MD for 26 years and Bridgeton prior to that. Before his retirement, Mr. Sibley had worked as a carpenter by trade. He had also worked in heavy construction and insurance consulting in determining the value of property damages. He was an active member of the Gateway Baptist Church in Rising Sun, MD. Besides his wife, Elizabeth, he is survived by three sons, Wynfred C. “Fred” Sibley, Jr. and his wife Joann of Morton, PA, Walter “Walt” Sibley and his wife Becky of Nokesville, VA and Calvin Sibley of Bear, DE; a brother, William Sibley of FL and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kim Grace and two brothers, Warner “Buster” Sibley and Walter Sibley. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, July 11th at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday evening, July 10th from 6 PM to 8 PM. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in Mr. Sibley's memory to Taylor Hospice, P.O. Box 147, Ridley Park, PA 19078.
