Obituary of John T. Lamanteer

John T. Lamanteer, Sr., 65, of Millville died Friday, May 30, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland following a seven year period of declining health. Born in Cedarville on June 11, 1948 he was the son of the late Charles Lamanteer and Marie Suppa Lamanteer. He had lived in Millville over 15 years and was a Cedarville resident prior to that. John was a machinist by trade and had formerly been employed with both the Wheaton Glass Co. and Foster-Forbes Glass Co. in Millville. He was an avid deer hunter. Surviving are his daughter, Marissa Lamanteer of North Wildwood; his son, John T. Lamanteer, Jr. of Lewes, DE; his companion with whom he resided, Eleanor Connor of Millville; three brothers, Paul Lamanteer and Anthony Lamanteer both of Bridgeton and William Lamanteer of Millville; five sisters, Rosemary Beck of CA, Alice Headley of Pennsville and Lucy Duffield, Christine Makos and Theresa Gilbert all of Millville and one grandson. He was predeceased by a brother, Bonino Lamanteer. Cremation and inurnment took place at Laurel Lawn Crematory in Upper Deerfield Township. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Cedarville.
