To Rob, Beth and family of Ed,
I was sad to hear of Ed's passing and unfortunately I found out to late to make the services or I would have been there to honor him.
When I look at his picture, It's so easy to go back to 1980 when I was a young mother starting my new job at the Bridgeton Evening News (for 28 years).
Ed interviewed me then hired me, and he always earned my respect over the years. That distinctive smile and quiet nature made him easy to work for. I can still see him walking through the building with his hands in his pockets, and laughing on the golf course with George Moore and Marv on "league night" at his swing and miss.
So I just wanted you to know that your dad mattered in my life too, he was a great guy.
