Kathryn Bartleson Simpkins, 58, of Hopewell Township passed away Thursday, May 1, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. She was born September 22, 1955 in Salem to the late William and Dorothy Biddle Bartleson. Kathy was a homemaker most of her life, but had worked for the Shiloh Market for 14 years. She enjoyed reading and traveling to fun locations with her family over the years. Though her greatest joy came from spending time with her granddaughters who were the pride and joy of her life. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Louis R. Simpkins, Jr. of Hopewell Township; her son, Louis R. Simpkins, III and wife Kimberley of Waynesville, NC and their children, Morgan, Melissa, Justin and Joshua; her daughter, Michelle S. Blizzard and husband Les and their children, Brittany, Amber, Ashley and Sierra of Shiloh. Also siblings Teddy Bartleson (Lyn), Paul Bartleson (Evonne) both of Port Elizabeth and Jody Bartleson of South Carolina. She was predeceased by siblings Sharon Gillespie, Dorothy Popecki and Ronnie Bartleson. Services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Wed., May 7th at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Burial will take place at Cumberland County Veterans Cemetery in Hopewell Township. Written condolences may be sent to the family at www.padgettfuneralhomes.com
