Obituary of George E. Collins

George E. "Junie" Collins, Jr., 60, of Millville died on Sunday, April 13, 2014 at Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA following an extended illness. Born in Bridgeton to the late George E. Collins, Sr. and Grace Milbourne Collins, he was the husband of Mona Caldwell Collins. He had lived in Millville for the past 4 years and prior to that had resided in Springtown for most of his life. George had been previously employed by Clement Papas in Seabrook for 15 years. He had also worked for the Vineland Developmental Center and Construction Union Local 222. He was a founder and senior deacon of Souls for Christ Ministries in Seabrook and a graduate of the Bridgeton High School Class of 1972. Besides his wife Mona, he is survived by three sons, Corey Collins and his wife Tanya of Millville, Kevin Collins and his wife Tinisha of Bridgeton and Ian Collins and his wife Raquel of Asbury Park; four daughters, Tanisha Sease and her husband Tony of Bridgeton, Monique Collins of Bridgeton, Jasmine Holley and her husband Milton of Bridgeton and Rhoda Bartley and her husband Anthony of Millville; three brothers, Nelson P. Thomas, Sr. and his wife Barbara of MD, Lester Collins and his wife Kathy of Pilesgrove and Nelson Thomas, Jr. and his wife Penny of NY and a sister Leslie Pierce and her husband Garfield of Millville. Funeral services will be held at the Miracle Temple Church, 1409 East Main Street, Millville on Monday, April 21st at 12 Noon. Interment will take place at Yorktown Methodist Cemetery in Pilesgrove Twp. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 12 Noon prior to the services.
