Obituary of Beverly W. Newton

She was educated in the Bridgeton Public School System and received an AAS degree from Cumberland Community College and a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina where she was a member of the Kappa Delta Phi Honor Society. She taught in Hoke and New Hanover County school districts in North Carolina and in Prince George's County School district in Maryland, where she retired in 2004. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband George Newton of 51 years; children Kelly Frasier, Geoffrey Newton (Vanessa) and Esley Newton-Roberts (James), 5 grandchildren, 2 brothers Granville and Ord Winrow and a sister Vail Bailey (Glenn), a host of brothers and sisters-in law, other relatives and friends. A private memorial service will be held at the Crusaders for Christ Evangelistic Center Int'l in Bridgeton at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp. In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to the Lung Cancer Research Center at either www.lungfund.org/donate or by sending a check to 155 East 55th Street, Suite 6H, New York, NY 10022. Be sure to indicate that donations are to support the Beverly Winrow Newton Memorial Fund.
