Obituary of Miriam L. Jones

Miriam L. Jones, 81, of Dividing Creek died on Saturday, March 29, 2014 following a brief illness. Born in Newport to the late Joseph Lore and Nellie Horner Lore, she was the wife of the late Donald K. Jones. Miriam had been a resident of Newport for the past 55 years and prior to that had lived in Newport. She was a homemaker and attended Dividing Creek Baptist Church. Surviving are her son, Bernard Jones of Newport; her two daughters, Diane Woodside of Lawrenceville and Caroline Jones of Hopewell Twp.; a brother, Charles Lore of DE; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at Newport Baptist Cemetery, Baptist Rd. Newport, on Wednesday, April 2nd at 12 Noon where the interment will follow the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions in Miriam's memory by made to the Newport Baptist Church, 319 Baptist Rd., Newport, NJ 08345 or to the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N. Delsea Dr., Vineland, NJ 08360.
