Troy L. Rose, 77, of Millville passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014 at his home. Born in Haywood County, NC to the late Lee and Elsie Burgess Rose, he was the husband of 42 years to the late Marie Mattson Rose. He had been a resident of Millville for the past 53 years and prior to that had resided in Bridgeton. Before his retirement, Troy had worked as a lineman for Atlantic City Electric in Bridgeton for most of his 35 years with the company. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie Hawn of Millville; his longtime companion, Sandra Lupton of Millville; his brother, John Rose of West Virginia; his grandchildren, Brandi Freeman, Beth and Paul Summers and Olivia Hawn and his nine favorite nieces and nephews. Also his extended family from Hopewell, Janet (Bill) Lowe, Danny, Katie, Megan and Karen (Gary) Sloan, Killian, Mackenzie, Kaiden and Melanie. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, March 28th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Greenwood Memorial Park in Millville. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Millville Senior Center, 1500 South Second St., Millville, NJ 08332, where Troy enjoyed spending his time.
