Obituary of Violet G. Watts

Violet Hamlet Watts, age 85, of Bridgeton departed this life on Saturday, December 10, 2011 at South Jersey Regional Medical Center following a lengthily illness. Born in Bridgeton on April 13, 1926 to the late Ida Hamlet she was the wife of the late Howard C. Valentine. Before her retirement she had been a dedicated employee as Housekeeping Supervisor at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood for 25 years retiring in 1988. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Arlene I. Valentine Winrow and her husband Rodney of Upper Deerfield Township; a sister, Jennie H. Lee of Vacaville, CA: a special niece, Jean Gould of Bridgeton; a sister in law, Alice P. Moore of Quinton,5 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Leander Williams and three sisters, Mildred Streets, Breda Reed and Arabella Thompson. She was not only a mother, grandmother and great grandmother but a cornerstone to her family and friends. Memorial services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Township on Friday, December 16th at 11 AM.
