Patricia A. Dames-Bayron, 66, of Williamstown and formerly of Deerfield Twp., died on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at John F. Kennedy hospital in Washington Twp. She was born in Fort Lauderdale, FL to the late Ronald Bennett and Inez Rolle Bennett. Patricia had lived at her present address for the past three years and prior to that she had resided in Deerfield Twp. A veteran of the United States Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, she had also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve and the Air National Guard. Her service to her country totaled 26 years. She had been previously employed as an insurance sales agent with New York Life, Prudential and the Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. She was a member of Union Baptist Temple in Bridgeton. Surviving are her husband, Edwin Bayron, Sr., a daughter, Jeannine L. Custis and her husband Curtis of Williamstown; two grandchildren, Cree L. Colbert and Cai L. Custis; three step-grandchildren, Dontie Custis, Isaiah Custis and Avahrie Custis and two brothers, Alfred Lamar of Bridgeton and Ronald Bennett, Jr. of Hopewell Twp. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Woodard and a brother, Norman Rolle, Sr. Funeral services will be held at Union Baptist Temple, South Pine Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Way, Bridgeton on Friday March 28th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery in Monroe Twp. Visitation will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday evening, March 27th from 6 PM to 8 PM and on Friday morning from 10 AM to 11 AM at Union Baptist Temple prior to the services.
