Obituary of John Melniczuk

Born in Chester, PA to the late Michael and Anastazia Melniczuk; he was the husband of the late Marjorie Melniczuk. Prior to his retirement, John had owned and operated Bauer Cycles in Salem and Vineland. He was a pioneer in the motorcycle drag racing scene. A member of the Lucky Romers Motorcycle Club, he was also the founder of the Tri-County Sportsman Club and a member of the Millville Elks Lodge. He is survived by his son, John Melniczuk, Jr. and his wife Joanne of Cedarville; two grandsons, Michael Melniczuk and his wife Rebecca of Woodstown and Steven Melniczuk and his wife Kathryn of Alloway Twp. ; his step-children, William Donaghy, Jr., Joseph Donaghy, Cheryl Howell and Jonna McFadden and four great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, Marjorie, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Ann Schmirsky and Amelia Forosty. The funeral liturgy will be celebrated at The Parish of the Holy Cross, St. Theresa of Avila Church, 46 Central Ave., Bridgeton on Thursday, March 20th at 11 AM. Friends will be received at the church from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Melniczuk's memory to Caring Hospice, 133-Q Gaither Dr., Mt. Laurel, NJ 08054. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, Upper Deerfield Twp.
