Willie L. Dayton, 78, of Vineland died Tuesday, February 25, 2014 at the home of her daughter, Margie in Bridgeton where she had been staying briefly during her illness. Born in Tazewell, VA on March 28, 1935 to the late Jackson Hoops and Maggie Worley Hoops, she was the wife of the late Walter Dayton, Jr. She had been a resident of Vineland for 35 years and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Before to her retirement, Mrs. Dayton had been employed with the Vineland Public School System in the Dietary Dept. as a Cook for 15 years. Previous to that she had been a Server at the Centerton Country Club for 15 years and had worked at the Owens-Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton for 13 years. Surviving are her daughters, Margie D. Yellin and her husband Jack of Bridgeton and Georgeanna Dooley and her husband Alan of Sicklerville; a sister, Flossie Menone of Vineland; four grandchildren, Jeff Dooley, Sherri Yellin, Brandi Yellin and Nathan Yellin and two great-grandchildren, Bria and Cameron Yellin. She was predeceased by a sister, Fannie Sipp and two brothers, Roy and Garland Hoops. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway # 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Monday, March 3rd at 11 AM. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp.
