Obituary of Dorothy (Mann) (Hasher) Holt

Born in Bridgeton to the late George Mann and Dorothy Virginia Miller Mann; she was the wife of the late Samuel Hasher, Jr. and the late Bruce Holt respectively. She had been a resident of Newport for over 50 years and prior to that, she had lived in Virginia and Bridgeton. Before her retirement, Dorothy had worked at the Showboat Casino Hotel in Atlantic City in Security. She had been previously employed by; Titan Security in Millville, Vito's Restaurant in Bridgeton, Raja's in Millville, The Bootlegger in Fairton and Woolworth's in Bridgeton. She loved animals and was known to make a great pot of coffee. Dorothy was an amazing cook that enjoyed a good joke. Her greatest love was her family. She is survived by; two sons, Sam Hasher, III and his wife Kathleen of Newport and George "Squirrel" Hasher of Millville; a daughter, Deborah Hasher of Pennsville ; a sister, Gloria Pollock of Bridgeton, ten grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other family members. Besides her first and second husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George A. Mann and John E. Mann. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 160 Main Street, Cedarville on Thursday, February 27th at 1 PM. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the services. In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made in Dorothy's memory to the Salem County Humane Society, P.O. Box 214, Carney's Point, NJ 08069.
