Born in Camilla, GA to the late James Chapple and Charlie Mae Watkins Chapple, he was the husband of Doretha Wilson Chapple. After being raised in FL, "King" had been a resident of Lawrence Twp. for over 55 years. Prior to his retirement in 2001, he had been employed by Redpack (formerly Clement Pappas) In Cedarville for over 50 years. "King" had worked as both a fork lift operator and a cook at Redpack. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehova's Witnesses, Centerton congregation. "King" loved fishing and spending time with his family. Besides his wife, Doretha Chapple of Cedarville, he is survived by; four sons, Melvin Chapple and his wife Cathy of Mississippi, Marvin Chapple and his wife Angela of FL, M.C."Shocky" Chapple, Jr. of Bridgeton and Bruce Chapple of Bridgeton; four daughters, Barbara Pierce and her husband Tony of Bridgeton, Thelma "Cricket" Radford and her husband Howard of Fairfield Twp., Lorraine Barner and her husband Brad of Cedarville and Joyce Ware and her husband Richard of Fairton; three sisters, Lottie Chapple of Philadelphia, PA, Janie Mae Howard of Philadelphia, PA and Mary Williams of FL; a sister-in-law, Doretha Chapple; a special friend, Vincent Bertucci; 59 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. He was preceded in death by; two brothers, James Chapple and J.C. Chapple and three sisters; Sarah Chapple, Grace Gary and Evelyn Dubois. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, March 1st at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fernwood Memorial Park in Hopewell Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 9 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
