Born in Bridgeton on July 11, 1930 to the late Oliver "Hicks" Webster and Eva Garron Webster, he was the husband of Deborah Peterson Webster. James had been a Bridgeton resident all of his life. Prior to his retirement in 2007, James had worked as a truck driver of Shimp's Trucking Co. in Shiloh for 15 years. He started driving trucks at the age of 16 and never looked back. He had also served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. James was a former member of the VFW Bridgeton post. In his free time, he enjoyed reading the newspaper and watching the Military Channel. He was also a fan of WWE wrestling. James loved his two girls and grandchildren most of all. He is survived by; his wife of 25 years, Deborah Webster of Bridgeton; two daughters, Evelyn Simpkins and her husband "Bucky" of Bridgeton and Nichole Schiewe and her husband Jacob of Bridgeton; two grandchildren, Sabrina Simpkins and her fiance William Baumgardner and Charles "Hoss" Simpkins and his wife Michelle and two great-grandchildren. James also had a grandchild and a great-grandchild on the way. He was preceded in death by a brother, Clarence Webster and a sister, Cora Pancoast. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Saturday, February 22nd at 11 AM Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 AM to 11 AM prior to the services.
