Norris L. Jacobs, 73, of Fairfield Twp. died Monday evening, February 3, 2014 at Cumberland Manor. Born in Belle Glade, FL on July 27, 1940 to the late Pete Jacobs and Pearl Reddick Jacobs, he was the husband of the late Clara Mae Lockett Jacobs. Norris had lived at his present address since 1973 and before that he had resided in Roadstown. Prior to his retirement, he had been employed at General Motors Corp. in Wilmington, DE for over 40 years. He was a member of Faith Tabernacle Church in Bridgeton. He is survived by a son, Ned C. Jacobs (Cathy) of Baltimore, MD; five brothers, Marion Jacobs of Woodbine, William Jacobs of Vineland, Pete Jacobs, Jr. of Wilmington, DE, Jessie Jacobs of Wilmington, DE and Calvin Jacobs of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; six sisters, Pearly Mae Clark of Oakland Park, FL, Elizabeth Pennington of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Elise Williams of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Patricia Jacobs of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Dorothy Jacobs-Potts of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and Nancy Shields of Philadelphia, PA; two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, James Jacobs and Loveist Jacobs. Funeral services will be held at the PADGETT FUNERAL HOME, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Thursday, February 13th at 11 AM. Interment will take place at Fordville Memorial Park in Fairfield Twp. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 10 to 11 AM prior to the services.
