Obituary of John W. Clark, Sr.

John W. Clark, Sr., 68, of Millville died Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at Inspira Medical Center in Vineland. Born in Tennessee on May 16, 1945 to the late Bruce Clark and Bernice Laws Clark, he was the husband of the late Rita Stout Clark and had lived in Millville for the past 21 years. He had resided in Seabrook prior to that. Before his retirement due to disability, he had been employed as a manager with the Hess Corporation and had previously managed the Hess Gas Station that was located at Carlls Corner. Surviving are his son, John W. Clark, Jr. of Millville; three daughters, Kandise Dixey of Bridgeton and Anna Nelson and Erika Neely both of Greensville, TN; three sisters, Olene (Gene) Kolk of FL and Farria Sprouse and Clara Holt both of Upper Deerfield Township along with four grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister, Julia, three brothers, Gene, Zane and Bill Clark and two brothers in law, Rev. Paul Sprouse and Ernest "Dooley" Holt. Funeral services will be held at the Centerton Free Will Baptist Church, Dealtown Road, Pittsgrove Township on Thursday, February 13th at 1 PM. Friends will be received at the church from 12 to 1 PM.
