Janet F. Danley, 78, of Fairton, died Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her home under the care of Hospice. The wife of Charles "Bill" Danley, she was born in Millville on September 4, 1935 to the late Mahlon Maines and Reba Griner Maines. She had been a Fairton resident since 1966 and had lived in Bridgeton prior to that. Before her retirement, Mrs. Danley had been employed with the Wheaton Glass Co. for 30 years. She had also served as the financial secretary for Union Local 219, GMP for 18 years. Janet and Bill were married on July 20, 1968 and she attended Centre Grove United Methodist Church. She deeply loved and was proud of her family and also enjoyed baking, crocheting, sewing and the casinos. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five children, Mahlon Orr (Barbara) of Centre Grove, John Orr (Debbie) of IL, Cheryl Sharp of Millville, Tommy Orr of AK and Rhonda Hitchner (Scott) of Hopewell Twp.; her special friend, Rosemary Holst; two sisters, Renee Parsons and Lois Maines both of Bridgeton; a brother, Harry Maines of Hopewell Twp., 5 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by a sister, Jackie Tirelli and a brother, George Maines. At Janet's request private services were held at the convenience of her family. The family asks that contributions in her memory be made to the Centre Grove United Methodist Church, 2556 North Blue Bell Road, Franklinville, NJ 08322.
