Mildred E. "Inky" Stiles, 84, of Cedarville died Sunday January 26, 2014 at Cumberland Manor in Hopewell Twp. Born in Salem on September 15, 1929 to the late Andrew Stiles and Lillian Langley Stiles, she was the wife of Ernest C. "Barney" Stiles. Mildred had been a Cedarville resident for most of her life. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed by Owens Illinois Glass Co. in Bridgeton for 21 years. She was a member of the Fairton United Methodist Church and was also an active member of the Deerfield Elks Lodge #733 where she held several positions and had served as lodge chaplain. She was the first female lodge member and assisted her husband with his duties at the lodge through the years. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Gwendolyn Estlow and her husband Bill of Cedarville; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; four sisters, Evelyn Stiles of Hopewell Twp., Marie Rudish of Bridgeton, Esther Ladow of Fairton and Catherine Priem of TN and a brother, Paul Stiles of SC. She was preceded in death by two sons, Ernest Stiles, Jr. and Gregory Stiles; five brothers, Calvin, Andy, Smiley, Bucky and Sam Stiles and a sister, Grace Coleman. Funeral services will be held at the Padgett Funeral Home, 1107 State Highway 77, Upper Deerfield Twp. on Friday, January 31st at 10 AM. Interment will take place at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Cedarville. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday evening, January 30th from 6 to 8 PM.
