Obituary of Patricia J. Messeck

Patricia Jacqueline Messeck, 48, of Fairton N.J., died on Dec. 1, 2011, at South Jersey Healthcare Bridgeton- Hospice Unit, after a nine month battle with colon cancer. The wife of Joseph Messeck Sr., she was born on March 26, 1963 in Salem N.J., and was the daughter of Robert Lemmerman and the late Patrica Toms, Lemmerman. Jackie as she was known by family and friends had been a Fairfield resident most of her life. Jackie was blessed with an amazing sense of humor which she kept even through the difficult struggles the ensued after her diagnosis and treatment. She continued to be loving and cheerful no matter the circumstances or her personal pain. She was an avid artist and amateur novelist. She enjoyed bowling, loved the beach, and Atlantic City and the casinos. Given her knack for gutter balls and then stomping after they occurred, she was soon named "Stomper" by her teammates. Jackie is survived by her husband Joe, 4 children, Joseph Jr., Krystle, James, and Amanda, her father, Robert Lemmerman, four brothers; Robert Lemmerman Jr., John Lemmerman, Jeter Sams, Paul Lemmerman, four sisters Lillian Sams, Mary Sams, Sherri Walker, Shanna Lemmerman, two grandchildren; Airyn Jones, and Joshua Davis, and many nieces and nephews. Jackie was predeceased by her son Daivd Wayne Messeck, and her mother Patricia Caroline Lemmerman. At Mrs. Messeck's request there will be no viewing but a memorial service, held on Saturday Dec. 10, 2011, at the Fairfield Presbyterian Church, in Fairton N.J.
